San Francisco Dance Film Festival

We had so much fun at the San Francisco Dance Film Festival this year! We have gone every year since 2011 and it is always a true inspiration. This year we only went to the last night because the focus was on more classically trained dancers. I very much enjoyed the short films, but the feature film "La Passion Noureev" was what I truly came to see. Tons of rare, archival footage of Rudolf Nureyev---OMG! The scenes with him and Margot Fonteyn made me burst into tears. The way he buries his face in her dress in the pas de deux from Romeo & Juliet.......GAHHHHH. Passion. Perfection. Live. Love.
